ABOUT BIMSHA RENOVATION + DESIGN

Bimsha Renovation + Design is an innovative home remodeling venture conceptualized by master plumber Mark E. Archer.

 

Born in England but raised in America by Barbadian parents who emigrated to the United States, Mark has a deep love for his ancestral Island of Barbados.

​

In 2010, in collaboration with his siblings, Mark spearheaded the daunting task of gutting and rehabbing their parents’ home in St. Michael, Barbados. In 2022, after being used as an Airbnb property for many years, the kitchen and bathroom underwent a complete renovation once more. 

​

The challenges of coordinating these projects long-distance (securing contractors, communication glitches, material purchasing problems, contract payment issues, and a general feeling of insecurity about the entire experience) was draining, time-consuming, eye-opening...and a learning experience.

​

As a result, Mark gained a profound understanding of the difficulties experienced by expats when considering long-distance renovations. He began to comprehend how advantageous a renovation company that focuses on expats could be.

​

With these lessons learned, Mark went to work assembling a group of skilled, competent, and trusted licensed tradesmen—both in Barbados and the U.S.—who were retained and ready to mobilize whenever needed. These pre-vetted tradesmen can handle all aspects of any project they are assigned.

In that instant, Bimsha Renovation + Design was conceived and brought into existence!
